We are a group of Smooth Jazz enthusiasts known as the "Naija Smooth Jazz Lovers"(NSJL). It was established in London in 2009. We maintain a Facebook group where varied knowledge and experiences of our love for Smooth Jazz is shared. The main aim of the platform is to link up, educate, inform and entertain people of different ages, races and backgrounds who share a genuine love of this particular music genre. We currently have over 5000 members in our Online Community from Europe, Asia, Middle East, Africa and the United States.

During the Pandemic, we ran a very successful regular two-hour Smooth Jazz Sunday virtual rendezvous via Zoom, where we interviewed established and upcoming global Smooth Jazz Stars; including the likes of Dave Koz, Najee, Gerald Albright, Norman Brown, Althea René, Gail Jhonson and Kunle Ayo. We had a popular Banter session and treated ourselves to Smooth Jazz videos, tunes and music from Live acts.

Membership is open to all Lovers of great music in this genre. Feel free to join us and tell a friend.

Meet our Founder

NSJL is the brainchild of Bim Babarinde, a London based architect. He has been a Smooth Jazz Lover since 1976 after listening to George Benson’s classic hit ‘Breezin’ for the very first time. His vision was to create a vibrant global online community of fellow enthusiasts who would have a wonderful experience together.
